Update – Feb 2017:
A big thank you to all our supporters! We have raised just over $9000 US and every little bit helped!
The truck has arrived and Sam has already used it to deliver the eggs to market in Phuket.
We urgently need to raise 10,000 THB ($285 US) more to pay for insurance this week to protect against accidents.
We will also continue to raise money to help with the monthly repayments.
Urgent – Dec 2016:
There was a car accident at Baan San Fan, luckily no one was seriously hurt, Gai sustained some head and shoulder injuries but she is recovering well at the orphanage.
Unfortunately it will take around 3 months to repair the pickup truck. This is a disaster for the orphanage which get most of it’s funds from selling the organic eggs in supermarkets in Phuket.
They are currently renting a vehicle to make the deliveries so they don’t fail to complete their orders and loose the contracts. But this takes away all the profits from selling the eggs.

Although we have two drivers, Sam and Pooh, we only have one vehicle to deliver the eggs to market and run errands to keep the farm running. This has become a major problem for us now, a logistical nightmare.
We’re also very concerned about our poor truck that last year passed the 600,000 KM mark. It’s still in working condition, Sam has taken very good care of it, but the repairs are getting more and more expensive every year.
