November Fund Raising

We have two projects we need your help with, the university fees for Kluay and June and more chickens for the farm. To donate please enter an amount, select your currency and click on the button below to start the payment process. You will be taken to PayPal where you can either use a credit/debit card or login to your existing PayPal account.

University Fees: 30,000 THB

Two of the children have been going to University. June was studying Public Health until a lack of funds last year and Kluay is currently in Bangkok studying Law, both want to continue their studies next term but the farm only produces enough revenue to feed the children. We need 15,000 THB each to pay for next terms fees that are due in 2 weeks. That’s 30,000 THB (approx 920 USD).

More Hens, More Kids: 140,000 THB

The orphanage is limited in how many children they can help by the amount of revenue the farm produces. We need to buy more hens to help more children. The farm has 500 hens and each lays around 2,000 THB of eggs a year. As they only cost 200 THB ready to lay, it’s a great investment. Our goal is to buy 1,000 more hens this month. We have raised enough money for 300 hens this week, so only 700 more to go. That’s 140,000 THB (approx 4260 USD).

Please donate whatever you can, and share this with your friends and family. Gai, Sam and the Children of Baan San Fan are so very grateful for your help.

Could I request that my chickens are given the very best suite in the Hen House and have a long, happy and pampered life at baansanfan??!!

Hi Bob, the hens will only be fed the finest organic food, and we have cleaned out the other half of the barn so they have the best suit available. They should arrive on Sunday as we have raised enough money now for 500, we will post photos on the blog when they arrive. Thank you so much for your support, have a Happy New Year!

Hi Darren! It’s Monkey here! I was just wondering what would be the most important do you think? Raising money for the kids university or for the hens?

Hi Monkey, the two priorities now are replacing the roofs and I’ve just heard that they need to raise money for all the children new uniforms. The kids grow fast and their current uniforms are stained and holey, they go back to school on the 15th May so we want to be quick with this one. Gai estimates around 3,500 THB for each child. I’ll add a page for this with more details. Thank you!
