Update 27th June, 2013

Hi, its Jason and I’m back at Baan San Fan for a few days. Thought I’d update you with all that’s gone and going on.

There have been some new children but all have subsequently found care with a family member.

After the death of his brother, Pye was also found care with his family as was Jek.

Gai is now traveling to Bangkok on a weekly basis where she sells the organic products (including the eggs) at a specialised market. She is hoping to get orders for upwards of 5,000 eggs a week. Yep, 5,000!

There were insufficient funds to send June to university this year so she has now taken over cooking duties from Gai.

Sam has started a new farming project and has planted a field of corn.

There still seems to be a steady stream of volunteers visiting. Thank you to everyone for your help.

    Hi Jason,

Myself & several other international adults plan to visit next year. We are all Ex AFS students who lived in Thailand for one year, twenty years ago! Now all in our 30’s with children, we are planning to meet up and put a little something back in to the country we allhold dear.

I wonder, rather than offering, could you suggest some way that we might be of help if we were to visit?

I understand that funds are probably your biggest hurdle and perhaps that is where our focus might be, or, is there something hands on we could assist with?

    Sincerely,
    Jo Edwards

Hi, Struan and I have recently retired and would like to volunteer at Bamboo House. We have lots of life skills, gardening, building, bought up children and now have 13 grandchildren who we are very involved with. We would love to give back some of what we have been so fortunate to have. Struan is a clergyman in the Anglican Church and I worked in a primary school as a school secretary for many years. We have visited Thailand several times on holiday and love it. One of my passions is children, and Struan loves nothing better than building things. We are both keen gardener s. This is a dream of ours for next year and we would love more info.
Look forward to hearing from you
    Kathy Duthie
